moholinushk at work
After a lifetime of working in the fields of development cooperation and diplomacy Annick resumed drawing as she approached retirement.
At first, she considered drawing to be ‘just some finger exercises’ but over time it became a constant and committed process, and since 2015, Annick had been drawing under her artist’s name, moholinushk.
Inspired by nature, architecture, and the visual languages of other cultures, Annick developed a remarkable creative power. Her formal vocabulary gradually evolved from strict, geometric constructions to soft, lyrical figures, to elements from nature, thus showing how liberating it must have been for her to express her experiences and perceptions through drawing. This journey into her own art form ended with Annick’s death in 2023. Its result is showcased in this magnificent monography.
